James Ash serves as the President for the Bermuda Operations of 51°µÍø. He provides strategic leadership and run the day-to-day operations of 51°µÍø's Bermuda entities, ensuring alignment with both regulatory expectations and the broader goals of the consolidated enterprise.
James is also part of the Structured Finance Department at 51°µÍø , where he oversees the capital management of the various 51°µÍø operating company subsidiaries and the management of the affiliated reinsurance programs. Prior to that, James contributed to the Valuation Department at 51°µÍø, where he held the role of Appointed Actuary for 51°µÍø Americas Reinsurance Company, Ltd., 51°µÍø (Barbados), Ltd., 51°µÍø Atlantic Reinsurance Company, Ltd., Manor Reinsurance, Ltd., and Reinsurance Company of Missouri, Incorporated.
James has been at 51°µÍø since 1996, with valuation experience across all main product lines. James received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Actuarial Science from Maryville University. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
